A BIT ABOUT BARKERS
Barkers Dog Behaviourists was founded by
Anya Barker who has been working with dogs since 2022. Before then, she was an Interior Designer in London - but always had a burning passion for dogs.
A bit about Anya:
I Founded BARKERS in January 2024 after my years of experience and seeing far too many dogs in daycare not getting the correct stimulation and care for the breed that they are. I wanted to keep my goals small so the attention stayed where it was supposed to - ON THE DOGS!
So I set out to create a boutique South-West London daycare opportunity for dogs to experience; monitored socialising, obedience training, mental stimulation, physical exercise, and exposure to woodlands for those incredibly important 'sniffaris' that our 4 legged friends need and ultimately a Home away from Home where the dogs can feel safe and satisfied with the schedule of the day.
At Barkers, all breeds and sizes are welcome (however sadly Barkers does not take on dogs younger than 1). In my experience, I’ve handled a huge range of dogs with different care requirements. One day I would be handling 4 Great Danes at once, and the next, I’d be handling 6 miniature Dachshunds.
I can say with confidence that taking care of an animal requires flexibility and adaptability - because every dog is different. This approach is the key ingredient to a tailored care package from Barkers.

Barkers is a daycare service that provides daycare and basic training in one package, it is available between Monday -Thursday
(Friday booking subject to availability)
Order of the day:
Pick up 8:30-9:30am
Toilet stop at PC or WC
Drive to Surrey Hills
Walk for 2hours
Break time
Toilet stop
Drop off 3:00-4:00pm

BOARDING
Barkers Boarding is a home from home service.
​
During the week you dog will have the full daycare package and then cosy up on an armchair, sofa, dog bed, carpeted floor or wherever takes their fancy!
A dogs stay in my home is something I take great pride in to ensure their comfort and relaxation.
Over the weekend the walks will normally be held locally (Richmond Park, Wimbledon common, Putney)
Weather permitting dogs are welcome to come with me if I visit the coast for a hike.
Please note weekend drop off/pick up is not available.

If you are wishing to book 'just for the weekend' please note Sat & Sun overnight charge is £30 each instead of the normal £15 overnight charge
